Rates and Dates

For UC Berkeley Students in Apartments, the Summer Sessions Housing contract is a fixed room only contract (a resident meal plan is not included).  You may purchase a non-resident meal plan option directly through the Cal Dining webpage.  

For Visiting Students and UC Berkeley Students in Residence Halls, the Summer Sessions Housing contract is a fixed room and board package, including a Standard Meal Plan. You have the option of upgrading to a Premium Meal Plan at an additional cost.

SAVE BIG: New and Continuing UC Berkeley students receive a 13% discount on all Summer Sessions Housing rates. New and Continuing UC Berkeley students living in Apartments are financially responsible for the housing portion of the Summer Sessions Housing contract only. These rates will be reflected when you receive your housing offer letter.

Check-in will take place at the location indicated in the welcome letter emailed to you two weeks prior to your arrival. Check-in takes place 10AM-10PM on the contracted move-in day for your session.

Your housing confirmation page (last page of your summer housing application) confirms your housing location. You will receive your room assignment and room key at check-in.

To check in after hours, please call the staff person on duty. There is a campus phone located at the front of each building. Calling instructions for after hour check-ins will be posted on the doors.


Session A Check-Out is at 10AM on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Session A&D, B, C, D, and E Check-Out is 10PM on Friday, August 11, 2017.

The contracted check-out dates and times are not negotiable. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly and in advance.
