Channing-Bowditch Apartments are located two blocks from campus in a vibrant student neighborhood near shops and restaurants. Low-rise wood-shingled buildings are clustered around two sunny courtyards. Features both single-story and townhouse apartments with two to four bedrooms.

Two blocks south of campus at 2535 Channing Way.
Located near cafés, restaurants, shops, and bookstores.
Close to Sproul Plaza, Student Union MLK Jr. Building, and the Student Center.

Apartment types

Single-floor apartments and a few townhouse-style units with two-story layouts.
Most units have two to four bedrooms and one or two bathrooms.
Two-bedroom apartments are the most common option.
All apartments are single-gender.

Occupancy

Most bedrooms are double- or triple-occupancy.
Double bedrooms are the most common option.
Apartments are typically shared by three to five people.
Limited number of single-occupancy rooms available. General note: There are very few single rooms for undergraduates at UC Berkeley, and they are typically reserved for students with a documented disability need.

- Entry: The door opens inward to a foyer. To the left is a closet. Ahead is a door to the first bedroom. To the right is the kitchen.

Note: The Channing-Bowditch two-bedroom apartment layout is made up of one double room and one triple room. Triple rooms include lofted beds.
