South Campus Residence Halls
Located steps away from the south side of campus, the South Campus Residence Halls provide a traditional living experience in the lively heart of downtown Berkeley. With easy access to shops, dining, and vibrant local culture, these residence halls offer the perfect blend of campus convenience and urban energy. You’ll find both all-gender and single-gender floor options, allowing for a living experience that suits your preferences while being immersed in the dynamic Berkeley community.

Large, secure housing complex with an interior courtyard. Priority given to freshmen and continuing students. Premium-style rooms.
Martinez Commons
Conveniently two blocks south of campus, this location prioritizes sophomores, transfers, and upper division students. Residence hall rooms are on all-gender floors with shared bathrooms and living spaces.
Unit 1
Part of a high-rise complex with communal bathrooms that shares academic and meeting spaces and mail services. Christian and Slottman Halls in Unit 1 offer two-bedroom mini-suites in addition to the traditional residence hall rooms.
Unit 2
Part of a high-rise complex with communal bathrooms that shares academic and meeting spaces and mail services. Towle Hall in Unit 2 offers two-bedroom mini-suites in addition to the traditional residence hall rooms.
Unit 3
Part of a high-rise complex with communal bathrooms that shares academic and meeting spaces and mail services.

Northeast Campus Residence Halls
