Spring Move-Out
Moving Out Early | Graduating Students | Summer Sessions Housing | Recycle | Keys and Room Inspections | Unit Front Desk Contact Information | Meal Plan End-Dates
All students must vacate the residential facilities no later than Sunday, May 13, 2018, 10 a.m. Failure to be out by this time may result in fines and conduct violations.
Be sure to review your Move-Out Responsibilities and Checklist.
Now is the time to make travel arrangements if you haven’t already done so, gather boxes, plan for shipping or storing items, and talk with family or friends about moving assistance.
If you have any questions, please contact your housing Unit front desk or RA.
Moving Out Early
If you are moving out early or during non-business hours, please obtain a Check–Out envelope from the Unit Office.
- Fill out the requested information
- Place your key(s) in the envelope, seal it, and put it in your unit's Key Drop Box.
- Lock change and/or lost key charges may apply if all keys are not properly returned.
Graduating Students
Graduating seniors may be allowed to stay in housing depending on the date. You may need to relocate into a specified, centralized location.
Summer Sessions A/A&D Housing
Those currently living in housing and attending Summer Session A or A&D may be able to stay in housing between May 13 through May 20 for a fee. You must be able to move into your summer space as soon as it’s ready to be eligible for this option.
If you are in need of either of the above accommodations, you must contact your Unit front desk by May 1, 2018 and provide proof of commencement or Summer Session attendance. Approval of extended housing must be obtained well in advance of Move-Out, and failure to do so may result in an unauthorized Late Vacate charge.
Keys and Room Inspections
All keys must be returned to your Unit office no later than 10 a.m. on May 13, 2018. Failure to return all keys issued to you will result in a charge for the locks to be changed ($75 to $100 per key or lock).
Unit staff will inspect all rooms after the last resident vacates. Any damage, trash removal, and/or cleaning charges will be assessed back to the room residents. Please speak with your RA about any damage that you caused and need to be billed for. Otherwise charges will be split between roommates.
Recycle
Please recycle your unwanted items:
- Mixed paper collection, readers, and notebooks
- CRTs, computer monitors, televisions, and electronics
- Clothing, linen, kitchenware, and appliances
- Participate in the bicycle donation program
The campus coordinates a program at the end of each semester for recycling and reuse prior to the winter holiday and summer move-out/clean-out.
